Pizza

Who doesn’t love pizzas? And better yet, if it’s homemade! This is one of the easiest meals to dish up, as you can always keep stock of the pizza base in the freezer and just buy the ingredients you like to go as your toppings when you’re in the mood for some homemade pizzas. Skip the onions/ mushrooms/bell peppers if you don’t have a liking and you choose exactly what you want and how much you want 😉.

Disclaimer: All skipped items mentioned above are not in ‘my favourites’ list. Ha…. Ha….

There’s no set order to as to how or what toppings go first. Best to start with the pizza sauce base, followed by the toppings you want and lastly add the mozzarella cheese.

Do thaw your pizza dough beforehand and pre-heat your oven at 180C before starting.

For the vegetarian pizza, I used pasta sauce as the base, followed by:

  • Tomatoes – cut them as rings
  • Capsicum – 1 each of green, red and yellow and finely diced (only cos I don’t like to see them lengthwise)
  • Onions – cut as rings or lengthwise (if you don’t like them raw, you can even caramelize them a bit in little oil before adding to the pizza dough)
  • Mushroom – of your choice and slice it lengthwise

Top off with mozzarella cheese and bake in the oven for about 12-15 mins.

For the non-veg pizza, I used bbq sauce as the base, followed by:

  • Tomatoes – cut them as rings
  • Capsicum – 1 each of green, red and yellow and finely diced (only cos I don’t like to see them lengthwise)
  • Onions – cut as rings or lengthwise (if you don’t like them raw, you can even caramelize them a bit in little oil before adding to the pizza dough)
  • Mushroom – of your choice and slice it lengthwise
  • Sausages – cut them small
  • Dash of black pepper

Top off with mozzarella cheese and bake in the oven for about 12-15 mins.
